She and other women in her hometown of Swat Valley were forced to obey the Taliban rule and would not be allowed to receive an education. She stood up for herself, for her education and for the fundamental rights of women. Malala began her advocacy with an activism speech where she persecuted the Taliban for taking away her right to an education. She then started writing an anonymous blog where she became an advocate for women’s rights to an education. This was something the Taliban did their best to prevent. When faced with challenge Malala looked for a way, not a way out. There are millions of underprivileged children around the world that are and denied an education for various reasons. The Taliban feel that an educated female is a mortal threat to them. They believe that an educated woman is â€Å"un-Islamic†.
